The Acorn Tree
The Acorn Tree would like to extend a sincere thank you to John Williamson of Tiger Touch.
John Williamson is a Big Cat man, truly devoted to the gentle giants and is by far the most supportive and cooperative person I've met in my travels. He has graciously provided The Acorn Tree with photos, information, support, and sincere encouragement.
It is with great pride, that The Acorn tree extends this thanks to John Williamson and all the people at Tiger Touch, for understanding that getting the word out is important, even if the voice is small to begin with!
Tiger Touch is situated on 10 acres in northern Nevada. The facility does research and maintains a sanctuary especially suited for the big cats.
Tiger Touch's mission is: "To encourage love and respect for wildlife. To kindle the flame of stewardship in others, and to share our knowledge. To offer sanctuary where we can. To fight with a wisdom to preserve what we love. To use the tools that we have to support the pursuit of our key goals: Safety, genetic diversity, and enrichment to the lives of exotic felines, their caretakers, and society." copyright (c) 2001 Tiger Touch courtesy of John Williamson and John Burkitt, Tiger Touch, Fallon NV
Although The Acorn Tree has only been officially up and running since April 2001, we have already cleared well over the 2,000 mark for visitors at our site. And that, our friends, means that over 2,000 people have heard the small voice of The Acorn Tree! Hopefully, they too are passing the word along!
Thank you John Williamson!
